France: eco-tax for HGVs from 430 to 1200 euro
The French Minister of Transport has confirmed that the government is planning to introduce an eco-tax on heavy goods vehicles, which will be used to finance the costs of maintaining the road infrastructure.
It will be the government’s fifth attempt to introduce a tax for the use of the road infrastructure.
The proposed rate of the eco-tax 430 euros for HGVs with 3 axles, 1200 euros for HGVs with 4 more axles.
Spain: Navarra and Guipúzcoa lift HGV restrictions on N-121 and A-15
In early June, the authorities of the province of Navarra agreed to impose restrictions on HGV traffic on the N-121 road, in connection with reconstruction work in the Belate and Almandor tunnels.
Because the renovation and resurfacing works in the tunnels are over, since 1st November traffic on N-121 has been back to normal; on 29th of October the neighbouring province of Guipúzcoa also lifted restrictions on A-15 in Berazategui, along the section passing through the San Lorenzo tunnel. As a result, both tunnels are open to lorry traffic both from the direction of Pamplona and from San Sebastian.
Germany – A40-bridge on the Rhein now closed to heavy trucks
After the A1 in Leverkusen it is now time for the A40 in Duisburg: In North Rhine-Westphalia, another important motorway bridge over the Rhine for was closed to HGV traffic.
The closure was connected with the installation of a barrier system with a scale on the A40, initially only in the direction of Essen.
A similar closure of the dilapidated A40 bridge in the direction of the Netherlands is not expected until next spring. The Duisburg Rhine Bridge is closed to lorries with a total weight of more than 40 tonnes or weight per drive axle of 11.5 tonnes.

W związku z prowadzonymi robotami drogowymi od 22:00 w piątek do 8:00 w niedzielę całkowicie zamknięto A10 pomiędzy Pankow a Birkenwerder.
Kierowcy jadący w kierunku Hamburga powinni skorzystać z przygotowanego objazdu A11 w kierunku Wandlitz, a potem kontynuować jazdę trasą B273 i B96 do skrzyżowania Kreuz Oranienburg.
Highways England: Upcoming A3 Closures
Highways England will be undertaking essential maintenance work to resurface sections of the A3, northbound and southbound carriageways near Godalming (Surrey), to ensure the network remains in a safe and serviceable condition.
25th February – 8th March
Southbound carriageway from the A31 Hogs Back to the A283 Milford Junction with a clearly signed diversion in place via the A31 and A325.
11th-20th March
Northbound Carriageway from the A325 Longmoor junction to the A31 Hogs Back, with a clearly signed diversion in place via the A325 and A31.
21st–27th March
Southbound carriageway from A31 Hogs Back to the A283 Milford junction, with a clearly signed diversion in place via the A31 and A325.
England: overnight closures on M25 Dartford Crossing in March
Sections of the M25 at the Dartford Crossing will be closed overnight for the majoirty of March for planned maintenance work to take place.
The following will affect drivers travelling on the M25 anticlockwise between junctions 1A for Swanscombe to junction 31 for Lakeside for planned emergency road works.
10pm on March 4 and 5.30am on March 5
March 4- March 8: 10pm and 5.30am.
11pm on 8 March to 6am on 9 March.
March 11- March 15: 10pm and 5.30am
11pm on March 15 to 6am on March 16.
March 18- March 22: 10pm and 5.30am

Utrudnienia spowodowane są ceremonią upamiętniającą wybuch pożaru w 1999 roku.
W niedzielę 24 marca ruch w tunelu Mont Blanc będzie całkowicie wstrzymany:
– w kierunku Włochy-Francja: od godziny 9:45 do 12:30,
– w kierunku Francja-Włochy: od godziny 10:00 do 12:45.
From today on: HGV traffic restrictions in London
The restrictions are associated with the introduction of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), which starts operating today, with the goal of improving air quality. The zone can only be accessed be vehicles that meet the more stringent emission standards or after paying a daily charge.
The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) replaces the T-Charge. The zone operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year, within the same area as the current Congestion Charging Zone (CCZ).
Which vehicles are affected:
• Cars (petrol and diesel)
• Vans, minibuses and lighter specialist vehicles
• Motorcycles, mopeds and more
• Lorries, coaches and other larger vehicles
All vehicles in the last category have to comply with the EURO VI standard, otherwise they will face a penalty charge of £1000 (£500 if paid within 14 days).
The daily charge is:
£12.50 for most vehicle types, including cars, motorcycles and vans (up to and including 3.5 tonnes)
£100 for heavier vehicles, including lorries (over 3.5 tonnes) and buses/coaches (over 5 tonnes).
