Vom 11. bis 23. September bleibt der Tunnel Königshainer Berge im Landkreis Görlitz wegen Sanierung geschlossen. Der Gotthardtunnel ist seit Sonntagnachmittag (10. September) geschlossen und wird bis auf Weiteres nicht wieder geöffnet.
Tunnel Königshainer Berge
In den Nächten vom 11. bis 23. September ( jeweils zwischen 21:00 Uhr – 05:00 Uhr) kommt es im Tunnel „Königshainer Berge“ zu Vollsperrungen.
❌ In der Nacht vom 11.09. auf den 12.09. erfolgt die Sperrung auf beiden Richtungsfahrbahnen.
❌ In den Nächten vom 12.09. bis 14.09. und vom 18.09. bis 20.09. wird die Richtungsfahrbahn Görlitz gesperrt.
❌ In den Nächten vom 14.09. bis zum 16.09. und vom 20.09. bis 23.09. wird die Richtungsfahrbahn Dresden gesperrt.
Der Verkehr in Fahrtrichtung Dresden wird an der Anschlussstelle Kodersdorf ausgeleitet und über die Bedarfsumleitung U4 bis zur Anschlussstelle Nieder Seifersdorf zurück auf die A4 geführt. Der Verkehr in Fahrtrichtung Görlitz wird an der Anschlussstelle Nieder Seifersdorf ausgeleitet und über die U5 bis zur Anschlussstelle Kodersdorf zurück auf die A4 geführt.
Der Gotthard-Strassentunnel
Grund dafür ist ein Schaden an der Tunneldecke. Was dazu geführt hat sowie das genaue Schadensausmass sind noch nicht bekannt. Eine erste Bestandesaufnahme zeigt einen Riss in der Zwischendecke auf einer Länge von 25 Metern. Bis auf Weiteres bleibt der Tunnel für den Verkehr gesperrt.
Der Verkehr wird grossräumig über die San Bernardino-Route (A 13) sowie über die Gotthard-Passstrasse umgeleitet. Schwerverkehr, der bereits in den Schwerverkehrskontrollzentren Giornico (TI) und Ripshausen (UR) auf eine Weiterfahrt wartet, wird zurückgehalten.
by Slovakia: an exemption from the HGV driving ban
The Presidium of the Police of the Slovak Republic has granted a general exemption from the HGV driving ban on 29 August, 1 and 15 September.
The exemption applies to all heavy goods vehicles traveling on motorways, first class roads and roads with international traffic, arriving in Slovakia from some neighboring countries and heading for destinations (e.g. company headquarters or place of unloading) located within Slovakia.
by Romania introduces additional driving bans in response to a heatwave
The bans apply to vehicles with a GVW of over 7.5 t on sections of national roads in selected districts.
The ban is in effect between August 21 and 22 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on sections of national roads in the districts of Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Braila, Constanta, Ialomița i Calarasi.
The ban does not apply to:
• passenger transport;
• transport of live animals and perishable products of animal and vegetable origin;
• vehicles involved in emergency operations;
• funeral transports;
• postal transports;
• transport of first aid equipment;
• fuel distribution;
• transport of goods in controlled temperature;
• vehicles towing damaged vehicles;
• transports of water and food to disaster-stricken areas;
• transport of sanitary equipment in the construction industry by specialized vehicles used;
• transports of bottled water;
• transports of farm products;
• military transports taking part in multinational exercises.

Der Gotthard-Strassentunnel bleibt wegen Reinigungs- und Wartungsarbeiten für mehrere Nächte komplett gesperrt.
♦ 11.–15. September (4 Nächte) – jeden Abend von 20:00 bis 05:00 Uhr.
♦ 18.–22. September (4 Nächte) – jeden Abend von 20:00 bis 05:00 Uhr.
♦ 25.–29. September (4 Nächte) – jeden Abend von 20:00 bis 05:00 Uhr.
♦ 2.–4. Oktober (2 Nächte) – jeden Abend von 20:00 bis 05:00 Uhr.
Der Pkw-Verkehr wird nach Möglichkeit auf den Gotthardpass umgeleitet und der LKW-Verkehr (Fahrzeuge >3,5 Tonnen) wird eine halbe Stunde vor Tunnelsperrung blockiert.

Die Maßnahmen sind mit Sanierungsarbeiten verbunden, die je nach Witterungsbedingungen etwa acht Wochen dauern werden.
Seit Montag, 11. September, wird der Verkehr auf einem 7 Kilometer langen Abschnitt der Autobahn A1 (km 2+200 bis km 9+250) auf die Fahrbahn in Richtung Łódź geleitet. Es gibt zwei Fahrspuren für den Verkehr in Richtung Danzig und eine Fahrspur für Fahrzeuge in Richtung Łódź. Die Autobahnraststätte Kleszczewko in Richtung Łódź ist für Lkw und Busse gesperrt. Die Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung auf diesem Abschnitt der A1 beträgt 80 km/h. Autofahrern wird empfohlen, besonders vorsichtig zu sein und den temporären Verkehrsleitschildern zu folgen.
by Norway relaxes driving times and calls on hauliers to hold off transports
The authorities of Innlandet county are asking everyone in the transport industry to postpone non-essential deliveries. At the same time, the Norwegian government has relaxed the driving and rest time rules.
As a result of extreme weather on Wednesday, August 9, all major roads between Oslo and Trondheim have been closed. Inland Norway was hit the hardest, with 50 roads closed. The association NHO Logistics and Transport has asked for a temporary relaxation of the driving and rest time regulations. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration reacted almost immediately and approved the relaxation on Wednesday afternoon. The relaxed rules apply from the 9th to the 20th of August.
The relaxed rules are as follows:
• Daily driving time must not exceed 10 hours (normally 9 hours).
• Weekly driving time must not exceed 60 hours (normally 56 hours).
• Total driving time over two consecutive weeks must not exceed 100 hours (normally 90 hours).
• A break of at least 45 minutes is required after driving for up to 5 hours (normally 4.5 hours)
• A driver can have an unlimited number of reduced daily rest periods between two weekly rests (normally limited to three).
• Drivers using the relaxed rules are advised to carry a copy of the temporary regulation – download the document ⬅HERE.
An appeal to hauliers
Heavy goods traffic can cause demage to roads that are still open. Drivers must respect existing roadblocks. They must not be moved or crossed. Entering a closed area can be dangerous.
Currently, the 25 motorway together with county Road 26 through Trysil and Engerdal is the only route open to traffic between Eastern Norway and Trondheim. These roads cannot handle heavy traffic that normally runs on motorways no. 3 and E6.
❗ The chief of police has asked hauliers to use road No. 26 only for deliveries that are absolutely necessary. This includes the transport of goods or animals required for food safety and animal welfare. Other transports should be postponed until the situation improves.
❗ Provincial road No. 30 is open to vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons.
❗ The point in Rendalen is partially closed.
Lorries traveling on roads in Inland Norway can be stopped and diverted or turned around as new and potentially dangerous situations constantly arise.
by Tschechien: Das Überholverbot für Lkw auf der D1 soll zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt in Kraft treten
Das Verbot für einen 100 Kilometer langen Abschnitt der Autobahn D1 sollte ursprünglich in diesem Sommer in Kraft treten, doch aufgrund technischer Probleme und fehlender Hinweisschilder ist der Termin für die Einführung des Verbots verschoben worden.
Das Überholverbot für Lkw in der Tschechischen Republik gilt seit Anfang 2020 auf einigen Abschnitten der Straßen D5, D8 und D11 im Raum Prag, auf der renovierten D1 in der Nähe der Städte Brünn und Ostrava sowie auf zwei Abschnitten der D8 im Norden des Landes. Geplant war, noch vor Ende des Sommers auch ein Überholverbot an einen 100 Kilometer langen Abschnitt der Autobahn D1 einzuführen. Bisher sind jedoch nur sehr wenige Hinweisschilder angebracht worden, die auf das Verbot hinweisen. Nach Angaben des tschechischen Verkehrsministeriums sollen bis zum 1. November 500 Schilder in Prag installiert werden.
Neben der D1 in Vysočina plant das Ministerium auch die Einführung des Überholverbots für Lkw auf 33 neuen Abschnitten der Autobahnen D2, D5, D7, D8, D11, D35, D46, D55 und auf der vierspurigen I/11 Straße in der Nähe von Ostrava.
by A complete night closure of the A7 from 12 to 13 August
In April 2023, DEGES completed the construction of the new K 30 embankment.
Currently, works related to the final phase of the construction are underway. These involve removing makeshift structures, including the central crossing in the transition to the K 20 embankment and the auxiliary embankment on the western side of the A 7 motorway, but also the restoration of service and rescue roads along the K 30 embankment.
For this reason it will be necessary to reorganize traffic on this motorway section again.
The re-organisation of traffic and the activation of new traffic management software in the Elbe Tunnel will be implemented during the complete night closure of the A7 motorway over the coming weekend.
After the closure is over, traffic will continue along three southbound lanes. One lane will run through the fourth tunnel tube and two lanes will run through the third tunnel tube. This traffic organization will probably be maintained until April 2024.
During the night closure of the A7 motorway from 10:00 PM on Saturday, August 12, to 9:00 on Sunday, August 13, the following traffic restrictions will apply:
• closure of the northbound carriageway between the HH-Heimfeld (32) and HH-Volkspark (27) junctions
• closure of the the southbound carriageway between the HH-Volkspark (27) and HH-Waltershof (30) junctions
• closures of exit roads at the HH-Volkspark (27), HH-Bahrenfeld (28), HH-Othmarschen (29), HH-Waltershof (30) and HH-Heimfeld (32) junctions starting from 9:00 PM on Friday, August 12.
From 9:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, to 5:00 on Saturday, August 19:
• closure of the slip lane on the southbound motorway at the HH-Othmarschen junction (29)
• Alternatively, drivers can take the slip road to the southbound carriageway at the HH-Bahrenfeld (28) junction. There are information boards along the route.
Because traffic through the Elbe Tunnel is to be maintained until April 2024, drivers are generally advised to bypass the slip road to the southbound carriageway at the HH-Othmarschen (29) junction and use the HH-Bahrenfeld (28) or HH – Volkspark (27) junctions instead!
Diversions and alternative routes:
During the complete closure through traffic from the north and south is diverted along the A1, A21 and B205.
In addition to this diversion, the following alternative route is recommended for drivers heading to destinationss west of Hamburg:
• from A 23 Pinneberg Nord via Westring – L103 to Altonaer Chaussee / Luruper Hauptstraße and from there to the final destination
Depending on your destination, diversions in the city center start from the HH-Stellingen (26), HH-Volkspark (27) and HH-Heimfeld (32) junctions:
• drivers going in the direction of Hanover should follow the signs “Elbbrücken” at the HH-Stellingen junction (26) via the B4 to the A1 and A7
• Drivers heading to Hamburg East/Centre can go from the HH-Stellingen junction (26) towards the airport via Koppelstraße, Julius-Vossler-Straße and to Siemersplatz, and from there towards the centre.
• or take Osterfeldstrasse to the B5 in the direction of East Hamburg
• or further from Vogt-Wells-Strasse to Elbbrücken (A255 / A1)
• Drivers heading south to Altona-West should follow the mandatory U33 diversion at the HH-Volkspark junction (27) and turn left at the Schnackenburg / Binsbarg junction towards Altona
• traffic in the direction of Flensburg follows the mandatory U7 diversion at the HH-Heimfeld junction (32);
• From the Elbe bridges, first take the B75 and B5 towards the airport or City Nord, and from Siemersplatz continue along the B4 to the HH-Stellingen (26) junction or B447 to the HH-Schnelsen (24) junction;
• Traffic from Hanover can take the obligatory U21 diversion towards the port from the HH-Heimfeld junction (32).
Drivers from the north are also advised to avoid the closed section of the A7 motorway:
Drivers heading to the city center can:
• get to the HH-Schnelsen-Nord junction (23) via the airport bypass B432 and B433 and Alsterkrugchaussee
• from the HH-Schnelsen junction (24) via the B447 Schleswiger Damm, Friedrich-Ebert-Straße, Kollaustraße

by Deutschland: Die A2 Richtung Magdeburg ist bis Samstag gesperrt
Nach dem Unfall, der sich am Dienstagnachmittag auf der Autobahn A2 in Richtung Hannover zwischen den Anschlussstellen Theeßen (75) und Burg-Ost (74) bei Grabow ereignete, dauern die Aufräumarbeiten noch an.
Am Mittwoch, 30. August, wurde die Schutzzone rund um die Unfallstelle aufgehoben, was der Polizei die Aufnahme ihrer Ermittlungen ermöglichte. Am Abend wurde die Fahrbahn Richtung Berlin geräumt und wieder für den Verkehr freigegeben. Die Fahrbahn Richtung Magdeburg bleibt bis Samstag gesperrt. Autofahrern wird empfohlen, Umleitungen entlang der A14 und A9 zu nutzen.
Die Leichen zweier Fahrer, die bei dem Unfall ums Leben kamen, wurden aus den Fahrzeugen entfernt. Die Polizei versucht, die Identität beider Opfer festzustellen und die Brandursache zu ermitteln.
by Verschiebung der Totalschließung des Mont-Blanc-Tunnels
Der ursprünglich für Montag, den 4. September, geplante Beginn des Wiederaufbaus des Tunnels zwischen Chamonix-Mont-Blanc in Frankreich und Courmayeur in Italien ist aufgrund der Sperrung des Fréjus-Tunnels für den LKW-Verkehr verschoben worden.
Daher bleibt der Mont-Blanc-Tunnel geöffnet, bis die Autobahn A43 und der Fréjus-Tunnel wieder für den LKW-Verkehr freigegeben sind. Die 15-wöchige Sperrung des Mont Blanc wird sich je nach technischen Bedingungen und Wetterbedingungen voraussichtlich um weniger als 8 Tage verzögern.
