Es betrifft schwere Lkw (mit vier oder mehr Achsen) und gilt für verschiedene Streckenabschnitte der N-340 und N-240, die durch Katalonien bis zur Grenze mit der Provinz Castellón verlaufen.
by HGV traffic disruptions on the border crossing with Ukraine
The disruptions will last until December and are connected with the installation of stationary inspection scanners.
According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, disruptions for incoming HGVs can be expected on the border crossings Hrebenne – Rawa Ruska and Korczowa – Krakowiec.
by UK: Watch out when driving on A1
The National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS) has just published a warning about attacks on HGVs that have been occurring on stretches of the A1.
The message reads:
”We have had several incidents recently on the A1 Route through Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and maybe further South. People have been standing on Highway Bridges across the A1 and throwing items at HGV’s that are travelling on the main road.
Concrete blocks and most recently a car battery was thrown onto a passing HGV and caused damage and injury to the driver.
Please be aware of passing under bridges and inform Police about any incidents. We appreciate it is difficult at night to see any potential persons.”

Ma to związek z pracami remontowymi na moście Romsey. Spodziewane są utrudnienia w ruchu drogowym w okolicach portów w Southampton i Portsmouth.
Angielski zarząd autostrad Highways England poinformował o trzykrotnym pełnym zamknięciu drogi A3057 oraz węzłów nr 3 i 4 na M27. Pierwsze zamknięcie nastąpi: od 22:00, w piątek 28 września do 6:00, w poniedziałek, 1 października 2018. Drugie od 22:00 w piątek 26 kwietnia do 6:00, w poniedziałek, 29 kwietnia 2019. Natomiast trzecie od 22:00 w piątek 18 października do 6:00, w poniedziałek, 21 października 2019.

Die M27 Autobahn wird komplett gesperrt um die Romsey Road Bridge über die M27 zu ersetzen. Der Verkehr in und um Southampton und Portsmouth wird voraussichtlich schwierig sein.
Highways England hat gerade über drei Totalschließungen der A3057 und der M27 Kreuzung 3 bis 4 informiert.
Erste Schließung: 22:00 Uhr Freitag, 28. September bis 06:00 Uhr Montag, 1. Oktober 2018.
Zweite Schließung: 22:00 Freitag 26. April bis 06:00 Montag 29. April 2019.
Dritte Schließung: 22:00 Freitag, 18. Oktober bis 06:00 Montag, 21. Oktober 2019.

The closure is associated with the works to replace Romsey Road Bridge over the M27 and is likely to affect traffic around Southampton & Portsmouth docks.
Highways England have announced three total closures of the A3057 and the M27 junctions 3 to 4.
First Closure: 22:00 Friday 28th September to 06:00 Monday 1st October 2018.
Second Closure: 22:00 Friday 26th April to 06:00 Monday 29th April 2019.
Third Closure: 22:00 Friday 18th October to 06:00 Monday 21st October 2019.
by A new inspection method on German motorways
At selected sites, BAG inspectors will no longer use signaling discs to direct lorry drivers to pull off for an inspection; instead, the request will be displayed on a LED message board.
Failure to comply will be treated as an administrative offence and will be subject to a fine of 300 euro. In addition, the inspection will be carried out as planned, and any violations will be penalized according to the appropriate regulations.

Between 15th and 21st October, TISPOL, the European police network is conducting one of its pan European operations called TRUCK & BUS.
The operation focuses drivers’ sobriety, compliance with traffic regulations, technical condition of vehicles, load security and working times.
The following countries are members of the TISPOL network:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, France, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden , Switzerland, Great Britain and Estonia.
by Toll charges for HGVs on the Italian A22 motorway to increase
In the next few days the Italian Transport Minister will sign a concession agreement on the operation of the Brennero motorway, which will make it accessible to HGVs, while at the same time introducing a ban on HGV transit traffic on the national road no. 12.
One of the first measures to be implemented by the new operator will be to impose a toll charge or a surcharge for HGVs travelling on the motorway. In order to prevent drivers from switching to the national road no. 12, which leads to the Brennero pass, the provincial authorities have decided to ban HGV traffic along this strategic route in the region of Alto Adige.
by More stringent penalties for sleeping in a truck cab
Truckers can be facing a fine of up to 30.000 euros.
Even if not caught in the act, drivers can be punished for spending the 45-hour rest in the cab based on past records that go as many as 28 days back.
In addition to France, this restrictive approach has now been adopted by the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Italy, because drivers have often travelled to these countries in order to rest in the cab.
