Germany – A8 closure at the weekend
Between 16 and 19 November drivers are going to face serious inconveniences as a result of another closure of the A8 in the Enz river valley.
The Regional Council of Karlsruhe and the German Railways have commissioned works to replace the existing railway bridge over the motorway with a new structure in connection with the widening of the A8 to 6 lanes around the junction Pforzheim-Ost. Works, which were commenced in March this years, are due to be completed in spring next year.
In order to dismantle the existing bridge and position a new one, it is necessary to close the motorway section between the junctions Pforzheim-Nord and Pforzheim-Ost in both directions during two weekends.
