Additional traffic bans on the Brenner motorway
In view of the holiday HGV traffic bans in Germany and Austria, that are in force on May 1, the Day of Assumption (May 30), Whitsunday (June 10) and Corpus Christi (June 20), similar traffic bans will also apply in Italy on the Brenner motorway from Sterzing/Vipiteno to the Italian-Austrian border.
The ban applies to HGVs with a maximum authorised mass of over 7.5 tonnes, travelling north along A 22 from Vipiteno (Sterzing) to the Italian-Austrian border on the following days:
▪ Wednesday, May 1, from 00:00 to 09:00 on the northbound lanes of the A 22 motorway from Sterzing (Vipiteno) to the border;
▪ Thursday, May 30 (the Feast of the Ascension), from 00:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the northbound lanes of A 22 from Vipiteno (Sterzing) to the border;
▪ Monday, June 10 (Whitsunday/Pentecost), from 00:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the northbound lanes of A 22 from Sterzing to the border;
▪ Thursday, June 20 (Corpus Christi), from 00:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the northbound lanes of A 22 from Vipiteno to the border.
