Tirol: HGV traffic restrictions in the last week of May
This week, from Monday to Friday, except for Thursday (May 27, 28, 29 and 31) the police will be controlling the number of lorries travelling along the A93 in the Inn valley.
During these days, only between 250 and 300 south-bound lorries will be allowed to cross the border per hour. HGV traffic in excess of this limit will be slowed down or stopped if necessary. The police are expecting considerable tailbacks on the Bavarian side of the A93 in the direction of Innsbruck. Traffic jams can extend as far as A8 bound for Salzburg.
