Trucker können mit einer Geldstrafe von bis zu 30.000 Euro rechnen.
Selbst wenn sie nicht auf frischer Tat ertappt werden, können Fahrer dafür bestraft werden, dass sie die 45-stündige Wochenruhezeit im Fahrzeug verbringen, basierend auf vergangenen Daten, die bis zu 28 Tage zurückreichen.
Neben Frankreich wurde dieser restriktive Ansatz nun auch von den Niederlanden, Belgien, Deutschland und Italien übernommen, wo die Fahrer oft hingefahren sind, um sich im LKW auszuruhen.
