Professional drivers have to register before entering Norway
In order to better control the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Norwegian government has introduced a number of rules that apply to everyone who is planning to visit the country.
As reported by the Spanish transport association FENADISMER, all travellers, both Norwegian citizens and foreigners, have to register online before crossing the border. This also applies to employees in the transport industry and professional drivers. Registration consists in providing a confirmation of compliance with preventive measures regarding disease detection and monitoring, which practically means information about whether they are exempt from quarantine, PCR tests, etc.
❗ Road transport employees ONLY need to register by providing the required information. ❗ On this basis, they will be exempt from obligation of taking a PCR test and undergoing quarantine. Registration can be made via the website listed below, which is currently only available in Norwegian and English.
In order to register, you have to provide your e-mail address or mobile phone number and, in Part 1, personal data of the carrier or driver (name and surname), date of birth, telephone number and personal ID number, ID card or passport number and a list of countries visited in the last 14 days. Once the registration has been completed, you will receive a confirmation that should be presented to the police at border checks if required.
