
New entry rules and closed border crossings with Poland
From 6:00 on February 15, Slovakia introduces increased checks to ensure compliance with quarantine measures and free movement restrictions, and in border regions – checks to ensure compliance with rules for visitors entering the country from abroad.
Therefore, the following Polish-Slovak border crossings will be closed to passenger and goods traffic:
– Radoszyce-Palota
– Ożenna-Nižná Polianka
– Muszynka-Kurov
– Leluchów-Čirč
– Szczawnica-Lesnica
– Niedzica-Lysá nad Dunajcom
– Łysa Polana-Tatranská Javorina
– Chochołów-Suchá Hora
– Winiarczykówka-Bobrov
– Ujsoły-Novot’
From 6.00, on February 17, Polish citizens entering the Slovak Republic have to undergo quarantine either by self-isolating or in quarantine accommodation facilities for a period of 14 days, after prior mandatory registration on a dedicated website. Foreigners, including citizens of Poland and other EU countries, who in the previous 14 days have stayed in countries regarded as posing a high risk of coronavirus infection (including Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Ukraine) may enter the territory of the Slovak Republic through border crossings with Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary and air border crossings in Slovakia only after submitting a negative antigen test result (not older than 72 hours) performed in laboratories in the Czech Republic or Austria or a negative RT-PCR test result (not older than 72 hours) or after entering the territory of Slovakia have to self-isolate until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result (or no longer than 14 days in the absence of symptoms of the disease).
