France: traffic ban on 7/8 May lifted
The traffic ban on 9 and 10 May remains unaffected.
In view of the exceptional coincidence of two national holidays (8 and 10 May 2018) in the same week and the economic consequences of a general traffic ban on all roads on these days, the French minister of transport issued a decree on 22 February, which lifts the ban for vehicles with GVM of over 7.5 t on the following days:
7 May from 10 p.m. to 12. p.m. and 8 May from 0:00 a.m. to 10. p.m..
In exceptional cases, the ban can be locally or partially reinstated by the prefect of a given department.
