
Additional driving ban in Tyrol
The Austrian Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) has imposed an HGV driving ban on Wednesday, 2nd of June.
The restriction will be in effect from 9 am to 10 pm and will apply to heavy goods vehicles and articulated vehicles with a DMC above 7.5 tons. The ban applies to vehicles bound for Italy on the following routes:
– the A 12 motorway in the Inn valley, from the Kufstein state border to the Imst junction
– the A 13 Brenner motorway, from Innsbruck Süd to the state border
Truckers are advised to avoid the Inntal-Brenner route as much as possible, or to use the appropriate parking lots before entering Austria. HGVs not exempted from the ban will not be allowed to enter Austria and will be turned back. For more information, visit trafficban.com.
