New HGV traffic ban in Upper Austria
The traffic ban, officially approved by the authorities of the district of Gmunden on 12 July, concerns a 18-kilometer section of road B 166, which goes through the Gschütt Pass.
The ban, which applies to HGVs with a maximum total permissible weight over 3.5 tons, has been in effect since 1 August between kilometric point 32,769 (the border of federal state at the Gschütt Pass) and KP 50,700 (B166/B145 junction) in both directions, as indicated by the signs.
The ban does not apply to lorries carrying goods in originating terminating traffic in the following districts in three federal states:
Upper Austria: Bad Goisern, Bad Ischl, Ebensee in Traun, Gosau, Hallstatt, Obertraun, St. Wolfgang I. S., Steinbach, Traunkirchen
Salzburg: Abtenau, Annaberg, Ebenau, Faistenau, Fuschl am See, Golling, Hintersee, Hof bei Salzburg, Hüttau, Russbach am Pass Gschütt, St. Gilgen, St. Martin am Tennengebirge, Scheffau, Strobl
Styria: Altaussee, Bad Aussee, Bad Mitterndorf, Grundlsee, Stainach-Pürgg.
