Greece: Night entry ban also applies to all lorry drivers
The possibility of entering and departing from Greece has been restricted from 7 August until further notice.
The ban, which is in effect from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., applies to all drivers, including HGV drivers.
The measure has been implemented at the following land border crossings:
– Kakavia (GR-ALB)
– Krystallopigi (GR-ALB)
– Evzoni (GR-MD)
– Ormenio (GR-BUL)
– Nymfea (GR-BUL)
– Kipi (GR-TUR)
The only land border crossing which remains open 24/7 is Promachona (GR-BUL). The restriction applies to all travellers intending to cross the country’s land border and no exemptions have been announced so far. Hellenic Federation of Road Transport (OFAE) is working to obtain exemptions at least for perishable and ADR goods.
It is worth noting that the Greek authorities have obliged all persons entering the country to provide information about their stay by completing a Passenger Locator Form.
