Finland closes its land border with Russia
All crossing points on the land border between Finland and Russia will be closed until December 13.
Earlier this month, Finland has closed the crossing points at Vaalimaa, Nuijamaa, Imatra and Niirala, only leaving its northernmost border crossing at Raja-Joosepin for TIR transports.
The measure has been introduced to combat illegal migration through Russia. The new regulation will come into force on the night of November 29/30.
