The bridge will be closed to lorries over 3.5 tonnes coming from Dortmund until April.<\/div>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size:1.1rem\">The device features a light signal and a boom gate, which blocks access to lorries over 3.5 tonnes and with a width exceeding 2.1 metres. Such vehicles are then diverted to a special ramp. The weighbridge will be in operation until the end of April, when the bridge renovation work is expected to be over. <\/p>\n<p>At the Kassel West junction HGV traffic is diverted through A49. Drivers who fail to respect the ban face fines of up to 500 euro.<br \/>\nThe bridge on the Fulda river in Berghausen near Kassel can no longer withstand the growing volume of traffic and its southern part from the side of the Kassel-S\u00fcd junction has to be reinforced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A weighbridge has just been installed on the Bergausen bridge on the A 44.
