The ban came into effect on November 1.<\/div>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size:1.1rem\">The decision was justified by results of a test carried out on a 250-kilometer section of the Slovenian A1 motorway. An overtaking ban for HGVs introduced in January 15, 2020 has been found to significantly improve road safety and traffic flow.<br \/>\nAn overtaking ban for heavy goods vehicles with a MAM of over 7.5 tonnes on the A1 motorway has been in effect since the beginning of 2021 but only during daylight hours on the section from \u0160entilj to Koper.
