The bans apply to trucks and vehicle combinations with a gross vehicle weight of over 7.5 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>\u274c The regulation introduces additional days and hours of restrictions on the main routes through Tyrol:<\/p>\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Direction Germany:<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f 3 April 2026 (00:00 &#8211; 22:00)<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f 3 October 2026 (00:00 &#8211; 15:00)<br \/>\nThe ban applies on the A12 Inntal and A13 Brenner motorways for transport operations destined for Germany or countries accessed via Germany.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Direction Italy:<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f 4 April 2026 (11:00 &#8211; 15:00)<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f 25 April 2026 (11:00 &#8211; 15:00)<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f 2 June 2026 (09:00 &#8211; 22:00)<br \/>\nThe restrictions apply on the A12 Inntal and A13 Brenner motorways for transport operations destined for Italy or countries accessed via Italy.<\/p>\n<p>\u274c Summer restrictions on federal roads<br \/>\nAdditional bans will also affect tourist traffic during the summer season:<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f every Saturday from 4 July to 29 August 2026, from 08:00 to 15:00 outside built-up areas, in both directions<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f affected sections:<\/p>\n<p>B178 Loferer Stra\u00dfe (Lofer &#8211; W\u00f6rgl)<br \/>\nB320 Ennstalstra\u00dfe (from km 4.5)<br \/>\nB177 Seefelder Stra\u00dfe (entire section)<br \/>\nB179 Fernpassstra\u00dfe (Nassereith &#8211; Biberwier)<br \/>\nB181 Achensee Stra\u00dfe (entire section)<br \/>\nB182 Brenner Stra\u00dfe (entire section)<\/p>\n<p>\u274c A4 Ost Autobahn \u2013 additional summer restrictions<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f every Saturday from 4 July to 5 September 2026, from 08:00 to 15:00<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f section Schwechat &#8211; Nickelsdorf (Hungarian border)<br \/>\nLocal traffic to and from selected districts (including Neusiedl am See, Eisenstadt, Bruck an der Leitha) is exempt.<\/p>\n<p>Exceptions:<br \/>\nAs with standard restrictions, a wide range of exemptions has been provided. The bans do not apply to:<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f transport of perishable food, slaughter animals and feed,<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f postal and press deliveries,<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f deliveries to fuel stations, gastronomy and events,<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f rescue operations, roadside assistance and public services,<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f combined transport (rail\u2013road \/ water\u2013road),<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f selected military and humanitarian transport.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, during summer bans, the following are permitted:<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f empty vehicle journeys until 10:00 (return to base),<br \/>\n\u25ab\ufe0f transports exempt from bans in Germany or Italy (with appropriate documentation).<\/p>\n<p>The publication of the calendar of additional bans for 2026 means that transport companies will need to plan operations even more precisely, especially during holiday and vacation periods, when both standard bans and additional restrictions introduced by the new regulation accumulate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 31 March this year, the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure published a regulation introducing a calendar of additional traffic bans for heavy goods vehicles for 2026.
