{"id":26255,"date":"2026-02-18T00:00:44","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T00:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.2624.html"},"modified":"2026-02-18T00:00:44","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T00:00:44","slug":"italy-introduces-extraordinary-truck-bans-during-the-olympic-games-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/avicegroup.com\/de\/italy-introduces-extraordinary-truck-bans-during-the-olympic-games-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy introduces extraordinary truck bans during the Olympic Games"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"ui header\">\n<div class=\"sub header\">In connection with the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Italy has adopted extraordinary traffic management measures introducing significant restrictions on heavy goods transport in the province of Sondrio.<\/div>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size:1.1rem\">Under the adopted resolution, temporary bans on the movement of heavy vehicles will apply on selected provincial roads <b>from 4 February to 22 February 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2b55 From 00:00 to 10:00, vehicles with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes that are not used for passenger transport are prohibited from circulating.<br \/>\n\u2b55 In addition, vehicles carrying dangerous goods (ADR) are subject to a traffic ban from 00:00 to 11:00.<\/p>\n<p>The restrictions apply to key provincial roads considered strategic for access to the Olympic areas and particularly sensitive in terms of safety and traffic capacity. The bans apply to the following sections:<br \/>\n\u25fe SP 24 \u201cTirano \u2013 Stazzona\u201d (km 3+750-4+500),<br \/>\n\u25fe SP 26 \u201cdel Campone\u201d (km 0+000-4+550),<br \/>\n\u25fe SP 26 dir. \u201cSernio \u2013 Valchiosa\u201d (km 0+000-0+850),<br \/>\n\u25fe SP 27 \u201cto the Stelvio Pass\u201d (km 0+000-31+980),<br \/>\n\u25fe SP 27 dir. A \u201cS.P. 27 &#8211; Vervio\u201d (km 0+000-0+950),<br \/>\n\u25fe SP 27 dir. B \u201cGrosio &#8211; S.S. 38\u201d (km 0+000-0+300), and<br \/>\n\u25fe SP 28 \u201cdelle Motte di Oga\u201d (km 0+000\u20135+150).<\/p>\n<p>Emergency vehicles are exempt from the bans, as are vehicles used for winter road maintenance\u2014particularly snow removal and anti-icing operations\u2014carried out on behalf of ANAS S.p.A., the Province of Sondrio, and the municipalities covered by the regulations.<br \/>\nThis means that transport operators will need to adjust routes and transit schedules in the Alpine part of Lombardy during the Games, as the restrictions also affect roads previously used as alternative local connections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In connection with the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Italy has adopted extraordinary traffic management measures introducing significant restrictions on heavy goods transport in the province of Sondrio.
