The tool allows drivers and transport companies to quickly calculate penalties arising from road safety rules and EU social regulations.<\/div>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size:1.1rem\">Fines in Germany are calculated separately for the driver and the transport company. For example:<br \/>\n\u27a1\ufe0f Reducing the daily rest period by more than 3 hours results in a fine of \u20ac60 per each commenced hour for the driver and \u20ac180 for the transport operator.<br \/>\n\u27a1\ufe0f Exceeding the daily driving time by more than 2 hours \u2013 \u20ac60 per each commenced 30 minutes for the driver and \u20ac180 for the company.<br \/>\n\u27a1\ufe0f Failure to present the driver card during inspection \u2013 from \u20ac75 up to \u20ac250, if this prevents data verification.<\/p>\n<p>German authorities emphasize that enforcing these rules aims to reduce driver fatigue, which remains one of the leading causes of road accidents.<\/p>\n<p>The calculator also takes into account the changes introduced by the EU Mobility Package, including the obligation to equip all vehicles engaged in international transport with second-generation smart tachographs (Smart Tacho Version 2) by the end of 2025.
