The decision follows a long-standing Bulgarian practice of imposing such bans when air temperatures exceed 35\u00b0C. The aim is to protect the road surface from deformation and rutting, which could compromise road safety.<\/p>\n<h2>Bans will be enforced:<\/h2>\n<p>\u274c From Tuesday, June 24 to Friday, June 27<br \/>\n\u274c Between 13:00 and 21:00<\/p>\n<h2>Affected regions:<\/h2>\n<p>The traffic ban applies to nine northern regions of Bulgaria:<br \/>\nRuse, Silistra, Razgrad, Targovishte, Shumen, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Lovech, and Gabrovo.<\/p>\n<h2>List of restricted roads:<\/h2>\n<p>\u274c Hemus Motorway: from km 310 to 375 (Shumen and Targovishte regions)<br \/>\n\u274c Road I-2 (Ruse\u2013Varna): sections in Ruse, Razgrad, and Shumen regions (km 12\u2013146)<br \/>\n\u274c Road I-3: from km 7 to 170 (Pleven, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo regions)<br \/>\n\u274c Road I-4 (Koritna\u2013Shumen): passing through Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte, and Shumen<br \/>\n\u274c Road I-5 (Ruse\u2013Gabrovo): km 6\u2013115 (Ruse and Veliko Tarnovo regions)<br \/>\n\u274c Road I-7 (Silistra\u2013Shumen): within both regions<br \/>\n\u274c Road II-55 (Debelets\u2013Misyurkov Khan): in Veliko Tarnovo region<\/p>\n<h2>Exemptions from the ban:<\/h2>\n<p>The restriction does not apply to vehicles transporting:<br \/>\n\u2705 Perishable goods<br \/>\n\u2705 Special (tempered) cargo<br \/>\n\u2705 Live animals<br \/>\n\u2705 Dangerous goods<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the extreme heat currently affecting Bulgaria, the country\u2019s road authorities have decided to impose temporary traffic restrictions for trucks exceeding 20 tons in weight.
