
The Groot-Bijgaarden service station on E40 closed to lorries
Willy Segers, the mayor of Dilbeek, who has decided to close the service station to lorries, justifies his decision by increasingly frequent cases of HGV drivers attacked by illegal immigrants.
On the night between 25 and 26 January, two other drivers were attacked while sleeping in their cabs. One of them was injured in the face with a sharp object.
The date of closing the Groot-Bijgaarden services has not been announced yet. What is known, however, is that the lorry park will be closed at night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
