Spain: trade unions will go on strike demanding better working conditions
Spanish trade unions have announced a protest action of freight transport and logistics workers in Toledo, which is to be held from 15 to 17 April.
As the unions informed in a joint statement, the strike, which is expected to be attended by about 7500 transport workers, is a reaction to the futile negotiations that have been going for over a year following the expiration of the previous collective agreement on 31 December 2017. For this reason the unions have announced a series of meetings to be held in different companies to explain why it is so essential that the demands put forward in the negotiations be met, hoping that the strike will paralyze freight transport and logistics and send a strong message that the workers can no longer tolerate the present situation.
