Germany: HGV drivers returning from the UK required to present COVID test results
As of 20 December, Germany is considering the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland as areas of variant of concern.
As a result, transport personnel who have stayed in one of these countries during the last 10 days before entering Germany:
✅ are required to present a negative test result (PCR test max 72 h prior to entry, rapid/antigen test max 24 h prior to entry; certificates of vaccination or proofs of recovery are not sufficient).
If transport personnel have stayed in an area of variant of concern for more than 72 hours and intend to stay in Germany for more than 72 hours,
✅ they are required to pre-register at www.einreiseanmeldung.de and self-isolate
