Germany: another federal state lifts HGV traffic ban
The ban for HGV traffic on Sundays and public holidays in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been suspended again until January 18, 2021.
The exemption also applies to empty runs but not to abnormal loads and oversize cargo. In such cases, hauliers still have to apply for a special permit to travel on Sundays and public holidays.
Recently, the same decision has been taken by North Rhine-Westphalia, where the HGV traffic ban has also been suspended until January 18, 2021.
