Border with Bosnia and Herzegovina closed to trucks. Drivers’ protest continues
Since the early morning of September 1, 2025, a protest at the Ličko Petrovo Selo – Izačić border crossing has completely paralyzed freight traffic between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Starting at 6:00 a.m., drivers blocked both entry and exit for trucks, preventing transport in both directions.
According to ČESMAD Slovakia, the blockade will continue until drivers’ demands are met. So far, no details of their requests have been released, but the situation is already causing serious disruptions for carriers operating routes in the Balkan region.
The halted traffic at one of the key border crossings is leading to delivery delays and the risk of long queues on both sides of the border. Border authorities are urging carriers to monitor announcements and consider alternative routes until the situation at Ličko Petrovo Selo – Izačić is resolved.
