Germany: the Bergshausen bridge on A44 fully closed from Monday
The reason for the temporary closure of the Fulda crossing is the installation of a weighbridge on the A 44 in the direction of the A 7 directly past the Kreuz Kassel-West. The weighbridge will be used to enforce the ban on HGV traffic from the direction of Dortmund over the Bergshausen bridge, which comes into effect from Monday, 14 January.
The bridge will be closed until Wednesday midnight. The next closure will last from 10 pm on Thursday until 4 am on Friday.
Currently, only lorries and cars arriving from the direction of Dortmund can use the Bergshausen bridge. With the full closure of the bridge from Monday, all traffic from Dortmund will be completely diverted via the A49 in the direction of the A7.
