Rotterdam: A24 Closures to Extend Truck Transit Times
The A24 motorway (Blankenburgverbinding), including the Maasdeltatunnel and Hollandtunnel, will be closed periodically during nighttime hours due to maintenance works. The disruptions will affect the key section between Vlaardingen and Rozenburg, in the immediate hinterland of the Port of Rotterdam, potentially extending transit times by up to 30 minutes.

➡️ The A24 is a key connection between the A20, A4 and A15 motorways, heavily used by container, port and chemical transport. During the closures, traffic will be diverted to the following alternative routes:

Rijkswaterstaat estimates that travel times may increase by 10–30 minutes; however, with intensified heavy goods vehicle traffic in the Rotterdam area, delays may be even longer.
